As a consultant, I have to say that I really have enjoyed using Wix. Here are a few of my favorite aspects captured in this short post, including some of the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) features that are absolute game changers. This is just really scratching the surface, there are so many features not covered here. Wix also allows various roles to be granted to allow third-party access. If you're working with a marketing company there's a role for content creator, if you're working with a web design company, you might want to give them access as a developer etc.
I have heard for some businesses that they regretted using Wix, however, for myself I can say that it has been an overall positive experience. I'm on the Business Premium plan which costs $36/month, however, there is a plan that is just $17/month which likely has a lot of these same features and capabilities.
Blogs
Blog posts are super easy to write, and you can share them across multiple platforms. This is an awesome benefit as a consultant, as a big part of your success relies on marketing, brand awareness, and sharing fun and engaging content.

AI integrations and stock photos can assist in the writing process as well, although I do personally believe that AI is best used as a guide and not as your primary means of delivering content. Overall, it can be a bit "dry" and recycled, but if you use it correctly, it can take some of your good ideas and remove the legwork of putting them on paper.

AI integration can help you create an outline, add photos, or review for grammar and style.
Proposals
The proposal writing process is outstanding. You can utilize pre-filled templates linked to your client contact cards, ensuring that specific details like the client's name and address consistently appear in the correct place on the proposal without manual effort. After adjusting a proposal, you can save it as a draft template for future use. These templates are visually appealing and exude professionalism. They also include payment integrations, allowing an invoice to be sent automatically once the client accepts the proposal, if desired. Since the proposals require a signature, any terms and conditions can be included, effectively making it a contract upon the client's signature. You can view the status, amount, and respective client of each proposal on a single dashboard.

Wix Proposals Dashboard - Make Tracking and Proposal Creation Easy and Professional
This is a great bonus to the Wix suite as the end user would otherwise have to buy other software to accomplish this. The integration with my client's data, seamless transition from proposal acceptance to invoicing, and ability to create and tweak templates for future use all equate to a huge time savings.

Here is an actual proposal cover sheet I used for a client recently. The "Prepared For", "By" and "Contact" fields were all auto-populated. The client's name has been removed.
Web Design
Overall, Wix has simplified web design significantly. You can have a clean, professional-looking website operational in under a day. This process utilizes templates and AI, but why start from scratch when others have already done the heavy lifting?
I have consulted with several web designers and have also invested in web design services personally in the creation of my website. This expenditure was worthwhile because web design involves complexities that can be challenging to master. As easy as it is to develop a website on Wix, you may want to consider asking for a second look at some point to ensure that the site is optimized to its full potential.
Overall, making small tweaks to my site is really easy. For the most part, you click the type of item you'd like to add, and drag and drop it into place.

Wix Website Editor is fairly user intuitive if you are moderately tech-savvy.
One thing that I really like about Wix is that it is open to many third party integrations. This means you can search their app catalog to deploy free apps to your website (like the AI chat-bot I added to mine). You can also embed code from other websites, for example I was able to embed my Calendly booking page onto my websites Contact page.

Wix allows 3rd party integrations into your website, such as Calendly shown here.
Marketing
Marketing is tricky, it can depend on your brand, the strategy you are taking, the market you are operating in- there are literally hundreds of variables that contribute to successful marketing campaigns. Fortunately Wix let's you be in the drivers seat, but also takes a lot of the manual leg work out of the process.
First- Wix can automate a ton of the work for you and draft up email and social media marketing campaigns. In the dashboard below, a few social posts are created by Wix, without my need to provide input. Wix uses data from your website and blogs to create this content, and I have to admit its pretty decent. Sometimes it can be a bit bland, so you may want to refine these before posting.

The Wix Marketing Dashboard provides a huge advantage by creating draft marketing material, allowing you to schedule its release accross multiple platforms.
Second- when it comes time to post, Wix connects to your social media and allows you to post to all of your accounts simultaneously. The platform also allows these posts to be scheduled which is a huge advantage, that way if you are feeling ambitous and develop a bunch of content all at once, you can schedule its release over the course of a few days. Did you know that there are optimal times to post to social media?
Recently, I created a new blog post. I was shocked to find an email from my Wix marketing feature asking me to approve a follow-up email campaign which took some of the content from my blog, gave a teaser and a link back to the blog itself. It looked professional, and all I had to do was hit "approve" and an email went out to my email list. This is a level of marketing that I would not have gotten to on my own and is another huge advantage of this platform.

Closing Thoughts
Implementing CRM features in Wix or any software requires some research and testing, but the effort is usually worthwhile as it can create new opportunities and significantly reduce workload. Overall, I'm satisfied with the experience and would recommend it to others, particularly those in the consulting industry.
